In the wake of "Xena," female-driven action shows are thick as buffalo on tv. At the forefront, is the new queen of ass-kickin' Jennifer Garner. She parlayed her well-recieved gig as Sydney Bristow on "Alias" into a lauded turn as Electra in "Daredevil." She brings a rare combination of vulnerability and toughness that comes across as genuine to audiences. Too many times tough yet tender women flash on our screens and it just seems contrived. It's not easy to portray a gal who could rip out your heart and show it to you before you die, yet also needs held once in a while.
